YouTube Channel
On this YouTube channel, I’ve set out to push my approach to the electric bass as far as possible, bringing together in a concrete way everything I love to play, listen to, and explore. You’ll find transcriptions of jazz solos — from Herbie Hancock to Lennie Tristano and John Coltrane — transcriptions of iconic bass lines, from James Jamerson to Jaco Pastorius and MonoNeon, as well as play-alongs built around unique pieces, solo performances, improvisation on standards, and various explorations of the language of the electric bass.
This channel is also a space dedicated to sound, touch, detail, and musicality. Particular attention is given to rare and vintage instruments — their history, their personality, and the way they shape and influence the player’s approach.
More than a technical showcase, this project is an ongoing search: a search for a deeper relationship with the instrument, with groove, with phrasing, and with music itself.
